What is the Act Early Oklahoma partner network?

Act Early Oklahoma is a collaborative effort to promote the early identification of developmental delays and ensure timely and effective initiation of services for children who need them. We seek to accomplish this through collaboration with organizations providing programs and services for children birth-five. By sharing tools for developmental monitoring, unifying messaging to families, and coordinating our efforts, we can create a more efficient and effective system to ensure that ALL children and families in our early childhood systems receive the services and supports they need to be successful.

The Act Early Oklahoma Team is being coordinated through the OU Health Science Center’s Section on Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics, led by Dr. Bonnie McBride, who also serves as the Learn the Signs. Act Early. Ambassador for Oklahoma. Learn the Signs. Act Early. is the CDC’s developmental monitoring initiative and provides both the tools and the framework the Act Early Oklahoma team uses to promote its mission.

The Act Early Oklahoma team is also affiliated with the Administration for Children and Family’s Preschool Development Grant Birth through Five. (PDG B-5) which is being administered in Oklahoma by the Oklahoma Partnership for School Readiness.
